Steps to Success
Complete the AllStar Confidential Questionnaire and send it in to our franchise development group at the AllStar Home Office.
Preliminary Interview and discussion with our franchise development group at the AllStar Home Office to get to know one another and explore mutual interest.
Receipt of Disclosure Documentation: Subsequent to the Preliminary Interview, you may be invited to proceed with the franchise opportunity. You will be provided with a copy of our Franchise Disclosure which includes, among other things, a complete list of our Franchisees and Corporate restaurant locations, copies of our franchise legal documents including the Franchise Agreements as well as many other important factors to be considered before joining our Franchise System.
Complete Draft Business Plan. You will be required to complete a preliminary business plan, including cash flow projections. You are encouraged to seek professional accounting advice in completing this exercise.
Obtain Preliminary Financing Approval.
Complete Legal Review. You will be required to provide us with evidence that you have received independent legal advice regarding the Franchise Agreement.
Complete Reference Checks (Business, Personal, Credit and Criminal).
Complete Psychometric Profiles.
Visit AllStar Head Office for Discovery Day. This is your opportunity to meet with the AllStar management and staff so that we may get to know each other better and discuss the results of your due diligence in more detail.
Confidentiality and Deposit Agreement: Fifteen (15) days after receipt of the Franchisor’s disclosure document, qualified and approved prospective franchisees may enter into the AllStar Franchise Agreement and remit the Franchise Fee. If a prospective franchisee requires additional time to complete their due diligence, then prospective franchisees will be required to execute a confidentiality agreement and provide a deposit of $5,650.00 (including HST) in trust, in exchange for a further extension of the due diligence period of Fifteen (15) days. Candidates may withdraw at any time during the Fifteen (15) day review period extension. If you withdraw within the Fifteen (15) day extended review period for any reason, $1,130.00 will be retained by us to cover expenses and 80% of the deposit (or $4,520.00) will be refunded. In the event your application is declined by us for any reason, 100% of the deposit is refunded. The deposit is applied against the initial franchise fee otherwise owing on execution of the franchise agreement.
Selection Committee Review of Application. Our Franchise Selection Committee will meet to review your application and completed file. You can expect to hear from us within a few days as to whether your application has been accepted.
Signing of Franchise Agreements and Payment of Franchise Fee.
Site selection and lease negotiations begin. Depending on local market conditions, securing a suitable location may take 1 to 18 months from signing of the Franchise Agreements.
Scheduling of Training Date and Opening Date.
Registration for Business Name, Incorporation, Business License, Telephone and Fax, Tax Numbers (provincial and federal), Bank Accounts, Liquor License and any other required business licensing/registrations.
Franchisee Photographs obtained from all Franchisees for use in promotional materials.
Training at the Home Office Restaurant Location for 8 Weeks. Training will take place after the Offer to Lease has been finalized, while the location is being designed and constructed so that the training is fresh and coincides with the completion of construction.
Restaurant Location Design and Construction completed. Site design, engineering drawings, permits and construction can take as much as 16 to 20 weeks from execution of the Offer to Lease.
Staff Recruitment and Training. Home Office staff will work with you to recruit and train your restaurant staff, usually during the two weeks prior to the restaurant opening.
Restaurant Opening. A further two weeks of training will take place “on-site” once the restaurant is open to the public.
